Deployment & Reliability Engineer
Industrial integrations & production continuity
Keep HyBird and its customer integrations dependable, with repeatable deployments, clear diagnostics and tested recovery.
Tell us your location and preferred working arrangement when applying. We’ll discuss the role’s location and team requirements with you.
Apply for this roleBuild for the real world.
HyBird builds industrial spatial AI, bringing facility models, equipment, drawings and operational workflows into a shared context for people working at a desk and in the field. We’re building towards industrial autonomy, with dependable software as the foundation.
You will focus on the systems customers already depend on. Trace problems across code, APIs, authentication, data and infrastructure; deliver focused fixes; and make operation and recovery repeatable. Work with product and customer engineering to establish clear operational ownership as deployments enter ongoing use.
You will work on problems grounded in operating facilities, with the opportunity to shape useful capabilities and see how people use them. Explore our research journey and our technology and customer work.
What you’ll own.
- Maintain reliable deployments and customer integrations, with clear inventories, operational owners, monitoring and recovery procedures.
- Diagnose faults across APIs, authentication, data flows and cloud infrastructure. Make tested changes within agreed release authority.
- Improve CI/CD, deployment, rollback and recovery so routine operations do not depend on a single engineer.
- Turn incidents into regression tests and runnable procedures, communicate clearly with customers and transfer knowledge to a second engineer.
- Use AI to improve diagnosis, testing and documentation while independently checking changes before taking action.
What you’ll bring.
- You have built or maintained a production integration involving data mapping, authentication, retries and idempotency.
- You can operate cloud infrastructure and containers, maintain CI/CD and monitoring, and demonstrate deployment, rollback and recovery.
- You have diagnosed a real incident, contained its impact and made a tested corrective change using appropriate access.
- You have written a runbook another engineer successfully followed and can explain how you verified the handover.
- You can find root causes, communicate incidents clearly and distinguish a safe fix from a shortcut that creates another problem.
Useful experience
Experience supporting enterprise integrations or industrial customers would help. We will discuss the systems covered, support hours and any on-call requirements as part of the role conversation.
We value evidence of your own work, independent thought and clear communication. You can share private work through a walkthrough; a public portfolio is not required.
Your first 90 days.
Establish the deployment and integration inventory, operational owners and critical gaps. Resolve a focused production issue and demonstrate that a second engineer can deploy and recover using the runbook. Measure repeat incidents or support delays against a baseline.
We’ll agree the initial scope and measures with you, based on customer priorities and the systems you inherit.
